LF Voices Collective (LFVC) grew out of years of experience—working in local newsrooms, leading community-centered projects, supporting museums, and helping organizations tell stories that matter.
I’ve been lucky to work with people who care deeply about their communities and their purpose. Those experiences shaped how I see the world—and showed me where the gaps are.
Over time, I felt a quiet pull—a sense that there was more I could build, more space I could help create for the kinds of stories that don’t always fit into traditional structures, but still need to be told.
That’s why I started LF Voices Collective.
We’re reimagining how people experience news and information—moving beyond headlines and pageviews to create something more immersive, more human, and more lasting.
LFVC is a platform, a creative practice, and a growing team. We believe storytelling should be human-first—rooted in empathy, driven by creativity, and guided by a collective vision.
This isn’t a departure from the work I’ve done before—and it’s not competition. It’s a continuation. A way to carry forward what I’ve built and learned alongside others. LFVC is designed to complement and support the people, projects, and organizations I’ve been honored to work with—not replace them.
It’s a space for collaboration, not silos. For shared growth, not scarcity.
It’s about honoring lived experience, connecting across difference, and building spaces—digital and physical—where people feel seen and heard.
Here’s what we’re working on right now:
– Publishing new stories through Amplify by LFVC
– Restoring and reimagining The ‘Sip archive
– Seeking funding and support to hire a small, values-driven team
– Partnering with newsrooms, artists, and mission-driven organizations to expand what’s possible
This isn’t about walking away from what came before. It’s about building on it—with clarity, care, and a commitment to creating something meaningful and lasting.
LFVC is the next chapter. It’s a response to what I’ve learned—and an offering for what can be.
Thanks for being here.
My Manifesto
I believe stories matter.
Not just as content, but as a way for people to understand where they are, who they’re connected to, and what it all means.
Right now, we’re surrounded by more information than ever. More content. More noise. More speed.
But not always more connection.
I believe the answer isn’t more content. It’s more meaning.
I believe storytelling should be rooted in real people, real places, and real experiences.
I believe stories should help people see themselves—and each other—more clearly.
I believe connection doesn’t happen automatically. It has to be created, with intention and care.
That’s what I’m building with LF Voices Collective:
- A way to move stories beyond the page and into shared experience.
- A way for people to gather around stories, not just read them.
- A way to make news and information feel more human, more relevant, and more connected to everyday life.
This work starts in Mississippi, with its people, culture, and places, and is designed to grow into communities along the Mississippi River.
I believe in collaboration over competition.
I believe in building with clarity and purpose.
I believe this work matters now more than ever.
And, I’m here to build it — one story and experience at a time.
